Transfer letter

While most of the conversation over dinner with Sarnath and other rascal rowdies was about Art and went straight over my head, this is something that other semi-literates might find interesting:

The rear entrance of the Manipur Secretariat building has a sign that reads Please Show Pass for Entry. Some enterprising individual has scratched out the P from Pass on the sign.

Somewhere in Delhi is a wall with All-India Anti-Terrorism Front: Maninder Singh Bitta written on it. Some enterprising individual has added the same P before Anti.

Coincidence? I think not.

Hilarious. But I suspect a "foreign hand" is involved in all this Panti-Terrorism. I wait for the Counter-Panti-Terrorism unit to start up? (Will they wear g-strings...?.Ah I can always hope...)

Delhi evidently has good street-humour. I saw a sign on the road, with a arrow pointing to an old house. The sign was meant to read "To Let." Someone had added an "I" between the two words. All this sounds like one of the lamer Readers Digest jokes.

What is tyhe point of painting "All India Anti-Terorrist Front" on a wall anyway? It gives you the sense of an organisation that might well be on paper. Is that statement one on terorrism, India, or Buta Singh? I have a feeling it can be only about one of them. So the P thing is poetic justice.
